An original encaustic (beeswax) and alcohol ink painting in vibrant hues, inspired by my childhood memory of picking wildflowers in a mountain meadow. The panel is solid pine with grey painted sides. It is signed on the back, and attached with hardware, ready to hang.
Measures: 6" x 6" x .75"
About Encaustic:
Encaustic medium is one of the world's oldest art forms. Composed of beeswax, resin and pigment, it is applied in a molten state, which hardens to a shiny and durable finish. A true statement piece, encaustic art has a wonderful scent, is touchable and can be easily buffed to a lustrous finish with a clean cloth.
